In the article the kinds of dangers (fire, poisoning possibility, electric trauma, chemical burn, cuts, explosive hazard) that can arise with the participants of criminal process during the search of equipment location used for illegal drug and psychotropic substances manufacturing are disclosed. Security measures to be taken during the capture, search, seizure, packing and storage of equipment used for illegal drug and psychotropic substances manufacturing and another things and substances are defined. The attention was drawn to the importance of instruction necessary to be provided before the search for participants of procedural action. The priority task of the investigator before the search of equipment location used for illegal drug and psychotropic substances manufacturing is to establish infected and safety territories and also to provide: work only with personal protection for visual and respiratory organs (gloves, respirators, protective suit); minimization of people being in premises; check of the suspicious things and substances by specialist. During the search of equipment location used for illegal drug and psychotropic substances manufacturing is absolutely forbidden to: enter premises alone; work without personal protection for skin, visual and respiratory organs; touch without specialist’s (investigator’s) permission, move the things and open containers of fluid, switch on and off the light, electrical accessories; smell and taste the substances; mix together different preparations and chemicals; touch opened body part, especially face; leave unattended the operative devices and installations, gas stoves and electrical devices; bring and take to premises drinks and food; use opened fire tools (matches, lighters, candles).
